This is the plastic version of the most popular wood chess set in our collection - The German Knight Staunton. The German Knight is a favorite for club players and used more than any other set in tournaments. The black and aged ivory pieces are made from a glossy plastic and will withstand the rigors of regular play for a lifetime. The king is 3.9" tall and has a base diameter of 1.7". The pieces are nicely weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board and we include 2 extra queens for pawn promotion.Our Walnut and Maple Floppy Mouse Pad Chess Board offers the best of both worlds combining the features and advantages of a floppy board with the color and texture of a real wood chess board. You can roll it up and even fold it and this chess board will lie perfectly flat the second you lay it down.
