This is a handcrafted inlaid chess board made from premium quality mahogany and sycamore veneer. The craftsmanship of the inlay work is superb. Alpha-Numeric notation on the rank and file make it a great choice for club and tournament games to help with recording moves. The squares are 2.25" and the overall size of the board is 21.25" and .5" thick. The board is finished in a polyurethane matte finish to seal and protect the wood while enhancing the natural colors. There are corner felt pads on the bottom of the board to protect whatever surface it sets on.
