The legend of King Arthur comes alive with this collection of colorfully painted chess pieces representing the many characters from the literary Arthur tales. The pieces are represented by King Arthur, Guinevere, King Lot, Merlin, Sir Lancelot, Mordred, and Melehan. The rooks are represented by Camelot and Lot's castle and the knights are King Arthur's and King Lot's horse. The pieces are artistically sculpted and intricately detailed to capture the essence of the characters. The pieces are artistically designed with fine detail to capture the essence of the characters. The pieces are cast in solid polystone, an extremely hard, stone-like material, and are hand painted in realistic colors by highly skilled artisans with amazing detail.Our Blue and Erable High Gloss Deluxe Chess Board is made for us by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain, the largest manufacturer of high-quality chess boards in the world. This is an inlaid chess board made from blue stained ash burl and erable veneer sealed with a high gloss polyurethane finish to protect and enhance the beauty of the wood. The precision of the inlay work is remarkable. The squares are 1.75" and the overall size of the board is 17.5" and .5" thick.
