It was primarily used by the 24th Infantry Division during the Han River campaign in 1951. The tank earned its name due to the distinctive tiger face painted on its front armor.The M4 Sherman tank was one of the most widely used tanks of World War II and continued to serve in many conflicts after the war. The M4A3E8 variant also known as the "Easy Eight" was an upgraded version with improved suspension and a more powerful engine. It saw significant use in the Korean War where it was used by American and South Korean forces against the North Koreans and Chinese.The 24th Infantry Division played a crucial role in the Battle of the Han River which took place in January 1951. The division including the "Tiger Face" tank was tasked with stopping a massive Chinese offensive that threatened to push UN forces back to the 38th parallel. The division successful.
