Brand new 1/100 scale diecast airplane model of Vought F4U Corsair Fighter Aircraft "VMF-422 First Lieutenant Robert Cowboy Stout" United States Navy die cast model by Postage Stamp.Detailed exterior.True-to-scale detail.Comes with a display stand.This model does not have any openings.Manufacturers original unopened packaging.Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts.Dimensions approximately L-4 Wingspan-4.75 inches.Diecast metal and plastic construction for durability and a heavy realistic feel.It is a highly detailed and accurate model perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of military history.HISTORY ASPECTS:The F4U Corsair was a naval fighter aircraft used by the United States Navy and Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. Its excellent capabilities and performance made it very successful for the US Marine Corps. The F4U had a long production life span and was last produced in 1952. It had a max speed of 417 mph and carried six .50 caliber machine guns or four 20-mm cannons as well as a pair of 2000 lb. bombs and six rockets.
