Unencumbered by fine detail, these pieces will stand up to the rigor of regular play for a lifetime. This set features a 3.75" king with a base diameter of 1.375", an excellent size for tournament play or the game at home. Pieces are weighted for stability on the chess board and have thick green baize pads. The chess bag is made from a heavy canvas material that will withstand the rigors of frequent use and travel. Inside the bag you'll find 2 compartments for chess pieces, a compartment for a chess clock. elastic straps for securing the board, and a pocket for storing books and pencils. An adjustable shoulder strap and handle makes carrying a breeze. The chess board is made from a soft, pliable vinyl with a cloth backing and has alphanumeric notation on the sides to help record moves.
